Beginning tomorrow, January 31st, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Michael Sherman "will lead students through a journey of watercolor and bookmaking," Shapiro said in her announcement. People, Places & Things sessions will be held at the Senior Center, 546 Main Street.
The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the sponsoring agency, describes the classes as "for the creation and delivery of arts programming for seniors. Teaching artists will engage participating seniors in an art project or series of cultural programs over the course of the residency."
Sherman, who lives in New York City, is a graduate of the highly rated arts program at the Rhode Island School of Design where he graduated with honors. His work has been recognized with awards and public exhibits in the U.S., Canada, Switzerland and England.
