TODAY, Black History Month Celebration at the Carter Burden/RI Senior Center

With PSD's Kevin Brown acting as MC, Carter Burden Center for the Aging invites all ages to a Black History Month Celebration at the Roosevelt Island Senior Center, 546 Main Street, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m, on Monday, February 20th.

The celebration includes a special tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

For entertainment, there will be an African American Dance Performance, poetry readings and more as the Center's lively staff brings the community together in a tribute to our heritage.

Also free, snacks and refreshments!

 Co-sponsors include the Roosevelt Island Residents' Association and the Hope Memorial Fund of the Roosevelt Island Disabled Association.
