Closed since mid-August, Sportspark reopens Monday, April 15 at 7:00 a.m., according to a much anticipated announcement from RIOC. Repairs were more extensive than anticipated, and further delays were caused by administrative difficulties at the Department of Buildings.

Update, April 9th, 7:30 p.m.: Without a detailed explanation, RIOC has abruptly altered their reopening announce to say that "due to unforeseen circumstances the sports park pool will remain closed until further notice.the sports park gymnasium will still be open tomorrow." We will update you as new information comes in.

"The facilitywill continue to undergo repairs in the upcoming months which may cause minor inconveniences," says RIOC, but no future delays are anticipated.

Operating hours at Sportspark are Weekdays: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m and Weekends: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The popular, Olympic style swimming pool will have new hours of operation. Weekdays: 7:00 to 11 a.m. and 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. Weekends: 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for all ages and 4:00 to 7:00 p.m for adults" 18 and older.

"Our recently refurbished, handicapped accessible, Olympic-style pool is available for lap-swimming seven days a week.

"Additional pool area is designated for recreational use and children's free play. With lifeguards on duty, the pool sits amid stadium seating, giving the vital adult swimmer an ambiance of competition for their laps or energetic kids added grandeur to their play.

"Kickboards and other supplies for specific swim exercise are available poolside.

"Locker rooms are available for men and for women with showers and lockers. Locks and swim caps are not available but are required."
