Planning a visit to FDR Four Freedoms Park? Expanded seasonal hours are now in effect, and there may be some restrictions, due to tree replacement, early next week.

If you're a visitor from somewhere else on the globe or a full time New Yorker ready to experience the lyrical grace of this memorial to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his world changing speech at Four Freedoms Park, on historic Roosevelt Island, take advantage of newly expanded seasonal hours, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., daily.

Tree Replacement

"Following careful evaluation and monitoring of Four Freedoms Park trees, the Conservancy will replace two Linden trees due to concerns of tree health and stress. Removal and replacement of these trees will take place on Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th. This may result in restricted access to certain areas of the Park," announced Director or Communications Madeline Grimes.

The trees being replaced are on the eastern allee (Queens facing). If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact park management at
