Few things match the thrill of live musical theatre, talented performers acting out stories in song, and we're going to give you five good reasons not to miss Common Man Musicals's next show, scheduled for August 4th thru 6th at MST&DA's Howe Theatre.

Cabaret is a special kind of musical theatre. The show orients itself around a theme as performers deliver songs that comment on it from various angles. 

Cabaret has a rich history of social commentary, some of it scathing and/or penetrating. You Can Always Come Home, brought to Roosevelt Island audiences in a premiere performance earlier in June, does not disappoint.

The music is lively, challenging and frequently satirical. Here are five great examples:
