Lexie has found a home and won't have to beg in the parking lot anymore.

Yesterday afternoon, Wildlife Freedom Foundation Executive Director Rossana Ceruzzi told The Daily, "Lexie is home."

The Wildlife Freedom Foundation had been caring for Lexie since she was left behind by a couple moving away from Roosevelt Island. Confused by her abandonment, Lexie wandered around The Octagon, appealing to residents to let her back into her building until WFF took up her cause.

That's been successful. As of Thursday, Lexie's been welcomed into a new home in The Octagon. Hopes are high that the arrangement will be lasting and she will never have to fend for herself outdoors again in the future.

Wildlife Freedom Foundation is a Roosevelt Island based organization devoted to protecting and conserving wildlife and caring for stray animal populations. Donations are welcome.

Did Abraham-Hicks Kill Ari?

Did Esther Hicks or her late husband Jerry Hicks help — or their “teachings” — precipitate the death of Ari, an artist who turned to the Abraham-Hicks controlled Abe Forum for support? Here’s the story, pieced together from the accounts of friends outraged over what occurred and efforts to hide the tragedy. If Esther Hicks, … Continue reading Did Abraham-Hicks Kill Ari? →

“More Or Less I Am” Celebrates Whitman’s 200th Birthday in New York City

“Whitman’s own manic enthusiasm might be required to describe the joyous jamboree that occurs when you combine a fiddle, flute, cello, guitar, and steel drum with readers from the audience, an opera singer, the sounds of jets flying overhead and bells ringing at Riverside Church, the guy who played Brother Mouzone on The Wire, and … Continue reading “More Or Less I Am” Celebrates Whitman’s 200th Birthday in New York City →
