While crowds gathered to enjoy performances in FDR Four Freedoms Park during the 2018 Roosevelt Island Cherry Blossom Festival and others milled about fresh blossoms along the waterfront, RIVAA artist Anne-Marie Dannenberg turned her lens on the more intimate celebration of Japanese culture inside the gallery. This is what she saw.

Children learn paper craft art while all ages indulge in the intricate creation and modeling of kimonos.
