New York City's Community Boards are a clear expression of representative democracy. Roosevelt Island falls inside the borders of CB8 and its Roosevelt Island Committee meets here tomorrow, July 18th, at the Good Shepherd Community Center. The Cat Sanctuary fiasco as well as our contaminated drinking fountains are on the agenda.
