Earlier this year, Common Man Musicals, the brainchild of Jonathan and Kimbirdlee Fadner, premiered their latest creation, The Monkey King, at Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance's Howe Theatre. Its evolution continues with a West Coast premiere in April.

After opening on Roosevelt Island, Common Man Musicals staged a sellout performance in August in Queens.

The evolution of musicals is a years long process. Eventually, the best reach Broadway. The Monkey King, which reworks the legend with a female king, takes a big step forward with a West Coast Premiere in April at 23 Elephants Theatre Company in San Anselmo, California.

And there's more.

Kimbirdlee Fadner tells The Daily, "We are working on our next phase for NYC."

She promises to keep us and, therefore, you informed.
