Tomorrow, October 6th, Roosevelt Island's Big Autumn Saturday

The skies may be overcast, but when Fall for Arts Saturday opens tomorrow at 11:00, the temperature will be fair in the mid 60s, with little threat of rain. Come out and enjoy the events ready and waiting for you.

While RIOC's failed to release an event schedule, canvases are up on the Rivercross lawn, and the Roosevelt Island Visual Art Association (RIVAA) has come up with its own list of activities.

Also starting at 11:00 and running until 4:00 Kite Flight for Peace, including design assistance from Kiteflier and educator Archie Stewart and taking kites for a ride on Four Freedoms Park's idyllic lawn as it tapers into the East River across from the United Nations.
