Roosevelt Island's Foodtown had already taken steps to make shopping safe, like encouraging online shopping and home delivery, but some customers still need to walk the aisles. So, extra measures are now in place to protect them as well as store employees.

In addition to testing the temperatures of all employees before starting work, large plexiglass shields have been installed as barriers to protect everyone during transactions.

Managers thank everyone visiting the store for practicing social distancing and observing all signs. Everything is being done to keep the market open and a safe place to shop and to work.

And, as always, behind the scenes, Foodtown works hard to maintain supply chains and keep vital items in stock and promote sales and bargains whenever possible.
