Jupioca, Unique Takeout Twist on Healthy Beverages Coming to Roosevelt Island

Today, Hudson Related Retail said that Jupioca signed a ten year lease to fill the space in Riverwalk Commons vacated by Swan Nail Salon in 2017. They said Jupioca would open this spring.

Jupioca, "a feel good, eat good kind of a quick-service takeout joint serving fresh and healthy drinks," joins a list of food oriented venues announced but unopened on Roosevelt Island, some for as long as two and a half years. It's the first of the group not planned for Main Street where gaps of empty storefronts have frustrated residents for over a decade.

“We are committed to introducing every American to incredibly nutritious drinks so that everyone can enjoy their benefits,” Jin Zheng, owner of Jupioca, was quoted in the announcement.

On it's website, Jupioca explains its origins.

Jupioca is a feel good, eat good kind of a quick-service takeout joint serving fresh and healthy drinks. We were established in 2009 when two businesses, one that made bubble teas and the other that had expertise in crafting healthy juices, joined forces to come up with a unique combination of juice and tapioca.

All juices, smoothies, and shakes listed on our menu are inspired by high-quality and nutritious natural ingredients. To produce these healthy and refreshing beverages, we source fresh and locally grown vegetables and fruits, daily. And they’re not just about taste—our offerings promise to benefit you in multiple ways. They make for a healthy diet, help you detox and cleanse your system, and leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated, all charged up for the day.

"Just make our no-sugar, highly nutritious drinks a part of your daily routine and see the incredible difference they make to your lifestyle. And we are so happy to announce- we are going to have Thai Roll Ice cream, a very popular frozen dessert in Asia!”

Jupioca’s drinks will be sourced daily from fresh and locally grown vegetables and fruits. The drinks will support healthy diets, and help to detox and cleanse the body. With this lease signing, Jupioca adds to their eight locations in throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Along with drinks, Jupioca's menu features several meal size Acai bowls.
