RIOC contractors rescheduled double yellow line stripping to Wednesday, September 4th, starting at 7:00 a.m., the State announced today. Work will extend from the Blackwell House turn-around to 40 River Road. The time change was initiated to avoid interfering with the first day of school at PS/IS 217.

For the last round of striping, RIOC selected its sister agency, the Department of Transportation, figuring they had expertise to do the job right. It turned out badly, the freshly painted stripes melting away almost immediately to the point where they're invisible in some places.

RIOC wisely chose another resource for the work, this time:

The State advises:

As always, if you see any unsafe working conditions, please contact PSD immediately at 212-832-4545 or log on to our Occupant Help Center by clickinghttps://rioc.tikkit.us/login
