Taking NYC Ferry from Roosevelt Island to 34th Street? Free Shuttle to Midtown
Thanks to Sylvan Klein for the Tip

Reader Sylvan Klein shared a map of NYC Ferry shuttle bus services to and from the 34th Street Terminal. All good news. It's free, and its reach is extensive.

Roosevelt Islanders counting on the new ferry service, starting August 29th, for travel to Midtown can count on catching a free shuttle bus that makes many stops in a circuit that extends as far north as 49th Street and as far west as 6th Avenue.

Two buses depart 34th Street at twenty minute intervals, making alternating stops along the same route. You can see all the stops and which bus serves each stop on this chart.

Things are shaping up nicely for Roosevelt Islanders looking for a little transportation relief.

Hudson's Lousy Holiday Spectacle

Hudson’s lousy holiday spectacle for 2017 exceeds expectations in reverse. In 2019, we asked, “$75,000 for that?” Two years later, it’s WTF? That’s as clear as we can make it, suitable for all ages. The Big Picture: Roosevelt Island News In October, 2017, RIOC president Susan Rosenthal teamed with Hudson’sContinue Reading

MTA Holiday Nostalgia Trains

MTA Holiday Nostalgia Trains begin service tomorrow, December, 1st. The flashback is a treat from the New York Transit Museum. It recalls a whole different era in the city and for mass transit. It’s an annual event and one well worth the ride. I remember my first time. Doesn’t everyone?Continue Reading
