Roosevelt Island Historical Society's New Blackwell House Ornament

This week, Roosevelt Island Historical Society president Judith Berdy announced a new ornament honoring Blackwell House for the collection at the Visitor Center Kiosk.

"RIHS has a new holiday ornament celebrating Blackwell House," Berdy said on Monday. "It is an acrylic sun-catcher that will sparkle in the sun and on your tree.

"The ornament is made by Maple Landmark in Vermont and is safe for children to handle. It continues our tradition of purchasing American Made products when available to sell in the kiosk."

It sells for $10 at the Visitor Center Kiosk in the Roosevelt Island Tram Plaza.

The kiosk is open Wednesdays to Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but starting in December, it will stay open until 8:00 on Fridays through the holiday season.
