Common Council Committee Wins Senior GroceryDiscounts

One of the effects of this pandemic is the financial burden on everyone. I reached out to the managers of Wholesome Factory and Bread & Butter Deli and they have both agreed to extend a 10% discount on entire purchases to all senior citizens on the island.

Note: This message is from RIRA Common Council Member Adib Mansour who has kept busy filling in community gaps during the coronavirus crisis.

We applaud our vendors for staying open and providing the islanders with food and other necessities.

Here’s the deal:

Bread & Butter:

Bread and Butter are offering 10% discount on total purchases for all Senior Citizens on the island. They are also offering free delivery. Ibn addition, I was informed that they have been giving NYPD free lunches since the start of the epidemic. In addition, they have also been able to receive limited amount of disinfectants with a limitation of one per family -while supplies are available.

Wholesome Factory:

Wholesome Factory is also offering 10% discount on total purchases for all Senior Citizens residents of Roosevelt Island. They too offer free delivery with no minimum amount for the seniors.

Finally, I urge everyone to check on our elderly neighbors. I found that some are not able to go out and get their medicines or other essentials.
