As the Year Turns, RIOC and RIYP Give Kids Some Kicks

The days will still be short and the weather cold, but the Roosevelt Island Youth Program and RIOC are making sure kids have a warm place to go for fun and exercise. Both announced a season of activities at Sportspark.

RI Youth Program's Indoor Soccer

"I know all of you have been waiting for this, but it's finally here," is the message RIYP has for players, parents and guardians.

"Below is the link for Indoor Soccer. Fill out the first link, if you've registered with us this school year. All you have to do is input your child's name, your email, check the box for the time slot for that grade.

  • 3rd and 4th graders Wednesdays with an alternating schedule (6pm - 7pm, 7pm-8pm
  • 5th thru 8th graders Fridays 6pm - 7pm
  • 9th thru 11th graders Fridays 7pm - 8pm

Indoor Soccer is a competitive inter-mural skill based soccer program that runs from the first Wednesday in January (the 3rd) until March 30th.

RIOC's Splashers, Scooters, Gliders, and Movers

Registration is now open online. Classes will take place on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Activities are available for kids from 6 months to 10 years.
