12th District Congressional candidate Suraj Patel faces a daunting challenge. Before the polls open in the Democratic primary on June 26th, he needs to make as many friends in the district as he can. On Friday, June 8th, he brought that mission to Roosevelt Island, shaking hands, posing for photos, answering questions and taking advice.

By lunch time, Patel was taking a tour of the Roosevelt Island Senior Center.
