"Due to the fast approaching Nor'easter, this Saturday's Farmers Market at Good Shepherd Plaza will be cancelled," RIOC announced today, adding to yesterday's cancellation of the Halloween Parade.

"The remnants of Hurricane Willa are expected to become part of a coastal storm that will hit the Tri-State area this weekend," says WABC.

Forecasters expect Willa to contribute to a developing storm today that will push up the coast, bringing heavy rain and high winds late Friday night. The worst of the storm's predicted to be over by mid-afternoon Saturday.

And the good news is that no serious damages are in the forecast, except to kids' Halloween fun.

Partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid 50s should save half the weekend on Sunday.
