Four Freedoms Park Conservancy Announces Winner of Second Annual Sketching Contest

Four Freedoms Park Conservancy yesterday announce the winners of its Sketch 4 Freedom Contest: Richard Clements wins first prize with his submission Serene Space. Second place was taken by Hugo Barros Costa. In third place was Robert Miller.

All three winners receive a gift certificate for a six-month subscription to SketchBox, a curated art box delivery service. Additionally, first prize winner, Richard Clements, will receive a $300 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials, a Four Freedoms Park swag bag, and a signed copy of Freehand Drawing and Discovery: Urban Sketching and Concept Drawing for Designers.

The theme of this year's contest was celebrating public space, and artists were encouraged to explore how public space shapes and enriches lives.

Sketches of the Park were submitted to this year’s sketch contest running from July 1st – September 30th. The winning submissions were selected by a jury of artists and architects.
